Wood Preservation Canada is a national association representing the manufacturers of treated wood products and wood preservative producers in Canada and the United States. They needed a website with a professional image that would help them to efficiently broadcast their cause. Requirements include the ability to manage their own articles and content, and a password-protected Members Only section where they could post special information for paying customers. The result is a website based on open source technologies that fits their current requirements and is also extensible should requirements change in the future.

This site includes an interactive CSS menu, outgoing RSS feeds, mass mailer, banner rotator, login and password to access member-only documents, and an embedded contact us form with spam protection. Each web article published by WoodPreservation.ca can automatically be converted to PDF and printer formats, and also can be "shared with a friend" with only a few clicks. This site validates W3C CSS2.1 and XHTML4.0.
